African music deserves
an infrastructure to match.
Millions of artists. Billions of streams. Pennies redistributed. It is time for the equation to change.
The observation
Africa is one of the continents where music is the most vibrant, diverse, and exported. Entire genres — afrobeats, amapiano, afropop, bongo flava — have conquered global charts and redefined global popular culture.
However, the economic reality of African artists remains precarious: revenues captured abroad, unrespected splits, fragmented distribution, unsuitable tools, lack of reliable infrastructure to structure a career over the long term.
It's not a lack of talent. It's a lack of infrastructure.
"Infrastructure is the
sine qua non of sovereignty."
— Danafrica Foundation
Our mission
Danafrica was created to build the digital infrastructure that the African music industry deserves — and needs to exist on its own terms. An infrastructure that distributes revenues fairly, structures collaborations, secures live performances, and gives artists a complete dashboard of their career.
We are not an alternative to Spotify. We are the system that allows African artists to exist on Spotify — and beyond — under the best possible conditions.
What we believe in
Digital sovereignty
The tools that structure the African music industry must be designed in Africa, for Africa. Danafrica is an infrastructure that belongs to the ecosystem it serves.
Total transparency
Every penny generated, every split defined, every gig signed — everything is traceable, legible, indisputable. Trust is not decreed, it is proven.
Infrastructure, not application
Danafrica is not just another streaming app. It is a system — distribution, revenues, collaborations, gigs, wallet — that speaks with one voice.
Pan-African community
From Dakar to Nairobi, from Lagos to Kinshasa — African music is diverse, powerful, and deserves an infrastructure commensurate with its global reach.
The pan-African ambition
Danafrica is not designed for a single country, nor for a single musical genre. The vision is continental: a platform that understands the realities of Lagos as much as those of Kinshasa, Dakar, Abidjan or Nairobi.
This implies a robust infrastructure, thoughtful multilingualism, and governance that puts artists and their communities at the center of decisions.
